God Wants to Do More

"Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think..." Ephesians 3:20-21

Sometimes we forget that God wants to do MORE in our lives.

The greatest tragedy as Christians is when you do nothing to cultivate your relationship with the Lord.
As Jesus being Lord of our lives, He has MORE for us than we can see.
Jesus came to this earth to make a way of reconciliation to God the Father. Through his life, death, and resurrection, he accomplish that mission. Now, we can come to God with boldness and unashamed because Jesus’ blood was the payment for our sins. Through that, when we accept Jesus into our hearts, we have a home in heaven forever. Eternal life is a gift. It is precious. We should NEVER take that gift for granted, and should always remember that even if life is unfair here on earth, we have a hope that surpasses all understanding. Our hope that Jesus will, one day, make everything new again.
But while we await our homecoming into the Kingdom of heaven, we have a job to do here on earth.

This is our job:
“…your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:10

As Christians, we are called to bring heaven to earth.
What does that fully mean?

Well, as we get a taste of God’s love and grace here on earth, we must spread that love and grace to a broken world. Jesus didn’t die on a cross for just you. He died on a cross for all of humanity. For ALL of mankind.

This world is broken and in desperate need of hope. Millions of people can attest to the hope they have found in Jesus, and accepting them into their lives was exactly what they were searching for.
Jesus died for our sins to 1) give us eternal life with our heavenly Father. And 2) to give us LIFE and life more abundantly HERE on earth. (John 10:10)

So, what’s that “more” that God wants to do in your life?

He wants to set you free, give you a fresh start, and turn your brokenness into purpose.

Imagine freedom from your past, shame, guilt, fear, addictions, insecurities, confusion, questions, worry, anxiety, the abuse you have felt, the abandonment, negativity, being controlled or manipulated…
And the list doesn’t stop there.

Jesus came to set us free from ALL of our brokenness. He did it for me, I know He can do it for you.
The difference between those who find freedom and those who don’t is surrender. Jesus asks us to follow Him in all we do. When we choose to say yes to Him, freedom and purpose will be found.
God wants to do MORE in your life. The only question is, will you let Him?

Take a moment to let this passage of scripture speak to your heart. God has so much more for you than what you can see right now. God wants to empower you, strengthen you, and keep you rooted in His love. I pray you will encounter the love of God, as that can change you for the rest of your life.

"...I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.

Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.

And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.

May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully.

Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen."
Ephesians 3:15-21
